Hug Point is more of a beach walk than a hike, but it's stunning, nonetheless. There are caves to explore, waterfalls, and cool path over the rocks that you can only access at low tide. I went out there for the first time in early September, so the falls were fairly dry. It was a warm Fall day with little rain.

Ecola State Park sits on the south end of Tillamook Head. It's the forest-looking section when you're driving between Cannon Beach and Seaside. The entrance to the park is actually right off the Cannon Beach off-ramp when you're headed into town from the north end. If you're traveling from Astoria, like I was, it's about a 30-minute drive.
